Facilities and Operations

Our district is composed of five campuses across southern Posey County.  Each building has a head custodian who can assist with maintenance and operations at the school.  For emergencies, please contact Tony Alldredge for assistance.

Marc Hostetter: Director of Human Resources and Operations

Marc Hostetter has proudly served MSD of Mt. Vernon since 2011, beginning his career as a teaching assistant in the Opportunity Center and head coach of the high school basketball team. Over the years, he has served as a teacher, coach, assistant athletic director, assistant principal, and principal of Mt. Vernon Junior High School.

As Director of Human Resources and Operations, Marc oversees employee services, district operations, facilities, and major capital improvement projects. His focus is on building strong systems, supporting staff, and ensuring students and employees have safe, effective learning and working environments.

Raised on a farm in rural Greene County, Indiana, Marc developed the values of hard work, perseverance, and community. He holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership and has dedicated his career to serving students, developing leaders, and improving organizations.

Marc and his wife, Nikki, are proud to call Mt. Vernon home. Their sons, Leo (Class of 2022) and Nash (Class of 2026), both attended MSD of Mt. Vernon schools. The Hostetter family remains deeply invested in the continued success of the district and community.

Marc's personal philosophy is simple: approach each day with enthusiasm, maintain a growth mindset, and work hard. He believes that strong relationships and great people are the foundation of every successful organization.

Current Projects

MVHS Construction House

During the 2025-2026 school year, Mr. Riecken's Construction Trades Class constructed a home from the ground up. 

As of June 10, 2026, the drywall is complete, doors and windows are installed, and the walls are painted. Cabinets, HVAC, flooring and electrical finishing are on their way to completion.
