The Mount Vernon Marching Band is getting ready to start up and Mr. Stone is looking for new members to be a part of the Colorguard! Colorguard is one of the best opportunities to meet new friends and for you to join a State Finalist program. You don't have to have any previous experience to be a part of the Colorguard and you will be taught all of the necessary skills you need to be successful and have a life-changing experience. This is also an exciting year to join the Colorguard because the Marching Band is traveling to Florida during Spring Break of 2022 to perform at Universal
Studios!!! If you want a chance to be a part of this amazing program and would like the opportunity to travel with the Marching Band, tryouts are April 26, 27, and 29 from 5:30 - 7:30 in the High School Band Room. If you have more questions, please feel free to ask Mr. Stone. Hope to see you there!

The results of the National Library Week, “Select How Many Marbles Are in a Glass Jar,” Contest has been tabulated and certified. 210 students entered submissions with guesses varying from 1 to 1,264 marbles. There were a grand total of 77 marbles. The winners, who will be awarded a book of their choice, are Jaden Wilson, Chris Newman, and Sam Heckman.

Tri-State Speedway is in the process of hiring hard working, reliable individuals needing part time work during our race season. We are needing help in the areas of ticket sales, concessions, and souvenir sales. (No help is needed in the pit areas). Minimum age is 14 years old for concessions.
