STUDENTS:

• Congratulations to the boys basketball team for their on the road conference win against Boonville Friday night. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Senior Nicot Burnett with 19 points. Meyer Robb was also in double figures with 10 points and Jackson Clowers chipped in 9. Mt. Vernon stretched its lead out to 12 in the 4th quarter and went 11-12 from the Free Throw Line in the 4th. The Cats are back at home Tuesday evening when they host Mater Dei with the JV tipping off at 5:30pm and the Varsity to follow at 7pm.

• Seniors: Check your email for a voting email regarding a Senior Event in May.

• ART GUILD - there will be an Art Camp work day this afternoon 3:15-4:30 in Mrs Glaser’s room F104. Remember Krispy Kreme orders will need to be picked up and delivered immediately after school TOMORROW. 

• If you are a great tumbler, twister, or love showing off at Brittlebank in the summer, come and try 

• your skills at diving. February 12, 13,14, & 16th from 3:30-4:30 at the MVHS pool, our diving coach and team will be on hand to instruct and assist to let you try out diving. Bring your suit & towel. See Coach Jankowski to sign up or email jankowskiee@mvschool.org for information.

• To ALL MVHS Students:

• Do NOT send money to any organization that contacts you via email, snail mail, texting, social media etc that CLAIMS to be offering you membership to the National Honor Society.  The only offer of membership to the local NHS chapter will come from the high school, through official school communication directly to you from either Mr. Bacon or Mr. Bethel, the NHS Co-Chairs.

• DO be aware that invitations will be sent to all sophomores, juniors and seniors who qualify by their GPA inviting students to apply for membership.  These invitations will be sent in late February.  The official application cost NO money. 

To ALL CURRENT NHS Members:

• The next NHS meeting will be held Thursday, February 8th at 7:30am in the media center.  A group photo will be scheduled, so please dress 'spiffy'  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Bacon or Mr. Bethel.
