Manchester University invites you to a Virtual Spartan Day open house on Saturday, November 14!  This event includes a welcome from the President, faculty and student panels, a tour of campus, plus information from Admissions. Register at visit.manchester.edu.

FCA will have a short meeting about Operation Christmas Child in the media center tomorrow morning at 7:40 a.m. 

The National Honor Society will be meet Thursday at 7:30 am in the PAC. Please bring $3 with you to the meeting to pay for the Christmas breakfast.   All members are expected to be in attendance.  Please see Mr. Riedford or Mr. Wheaton before the meeting if you have a conflict and can not attend.

Art Guild Members: If you signed up to join Art Guild you have been invited to join a Google Classroom for the club. Please accept the invitation and check in to see club announcements, meetings and upcoming events. Contact Mrs. Glaser if you did not get invited to join the Classroom or if you want to join Art Guild, it is not too late.

The Spell Bowl Team has qualified for state competition.  They earned a 1st place ranking in Division 2 at the Area Competition.  Mt Vernon placed 5th out of 114 Indiana schools that participated in the statewide event.    The state finals will be held virtually in the Media Center on Wednesday, November 10.

Reminder to students who have signed up for Key Club: The deadline to pay due is this Friday. Dues can be paid between 7:30 - 8:00 am in C123, Mrs. Steinhart's room. They are $15, or $20 if you wat a t-shirt.

Any students interested in joining Tech Crew for the Fall Play "The Great Gatsby" should view the sign-up sheet outside the PAC or contact Mr. Knight in H117. Most tech times are right after school, but Tech Crew applications must be submitted by the end of this week.

ALL STUDENTS: Please check your email to vote for the 2020 Football Homecoming King and Queen. Voting will end at midnight tonight.

Student Council has organized a faculty homecoming court for this week. In order to vote, you must donate money in the teacher’s respective bucket located in the main gym after lunch. All money raised goes to Riley Children’s Hospital. King Candidates are Mr. Baacon, Mr. Ungetheim, Mr. Knight, Mr. Messmer.  Queen Candidates are Mrs. Green, Mrs. Spindler, Mrs. Schmidt, Mrs. Curtis.
