Big Wildcat on Campus is coming up on April 28! BWOC will be in the PAC beginning at 6:00 pm, and everyone is welcome to come watch. Any senior boys interested in signing up should see Mrs. Delaney or Mrs. Block ASAP.

Road Star Driving will sponsor a face-to-face Driver Education Class at MVHS April 19 – 30. The class will run from 3:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications and additional information are available in the Counseling Office.

The Mount Vernon Police Department will be hosting the Junior Police Academy, June 7 through June 11. If you are interested, please see Lieutenant Gonzalez for an application. You must have a 3.0 GPA and your application must be returned by May 7.

The results of the National Library Week, “Select How Many Marbles Are in a Glass Jar,” Contest has been tabulated and certified.  210 students entered submissions with guesses varying from 1 to 1,264 marbles. There were a grand total of 77 marbles.  The winners, who will be awarded a book of their choice, are Jaden Wilson, Chris Newman, and Sam Heckman.

We are needing help in the areas of ticket sales, concessions, and souvenir sales. (No help is needed in the pit areas). Minimum age is 14 years old for concessions. Race season starts in April ending in Oct. with 12 races scheduled. Please inquire by sending a PM or calling 812-768-6025.

your picture taken tomorrow. This is not just for yourself or your parents. Having your picture in the yearbook is for your classmates and teachers also!

Reminder to seniors:  If you are considering attending college, you need to complete the FAFSA.  This Sunday is College Goal Sunday where you can get assistance filing the FAFSA.  You were sent additional information in an email.   Also, Mrs. Rose in the counseling office can provide assistance.

There will be a mandatory Unified Track & Field meeting tomorrow, at 7:45 a.m., in the Media Center. Practice and meet schedules will be distributed. 

Boys and girls track and field season has officially started. All athletes interested in joining the track team should get dressed and be ready outside the locker rooms after school each day by 3:20 pm. 

Boys basketball sectional game Tuesday, 3/2 at 7:30PM.  Students may purchase tickets to the boys basketball sectional game.  They must enter with and sit with an adult.  Tickets can be purchased in the athletic office for $6 this morning or in the athletic foyer noon to 5:00 pm today.
