To enable Google Search on your own site, you can use Google's Custom Search Engine (CSE) tool to create a search engine specifically for your website, allowing users to search your content directly from your site.
Here's a breakdown of the process:
1. Create a Custom Search Engine:
  • Access the Custom Search Engine Dashboard: Go to the Google Custom Search Engine dashboard.
  • Name your search engine: Give your search engine a descriptive name.
  • Specify the site to search: Enter your website URL into the "Sites to search" field.
  • Configure Search Settings: Choose your search settings, such as the language and region.
  • Check the reCAPTCHA box: Ensure you check the reCAPTCHA box.
  • Create your search engine: Click "Create" to finalize the process.
2. Embed the Search Bar:
  • Obtain the search code:
Once the search engine is created, Google will provide you with a code snippet.
  • Integrate the code:
Embed the code into your website's HTML where you want the search bar to appear.
