Congratulations to the following My Vernon Fine Arts students for winning awards at the 61st High School Art Show at the Evansville Museum:Kloee Miller won 2nd in sculpture
Logan Preskey won 3rd in sculpture. Molly Miller and Hannah Yeida were finalists. There were over 700 entries from 14 school with just over 100 selected for exhibit. The High School Art Show Is open at the museum through April 15. Congratulations to Abbigale Bazan for being a finalist for Eclipse Exhibition at the Arts Council of Southwest Indian. She competed against adult and professional artist for her spot in the show which is open March 20 through April 12.MVHS Art Guild: Art Camp Set-Up today during study halls and after school till done in Mrs Glaser’s room F104. The more we get finished during the school, the less we have to do after. Art Camp is TOMORROW 7:30am-3:30pm, Lunch will be provided - see Mrs Glaser with Quayle for a pass.

Seniors: The FAFSA help night is Monday, March 18 from 6-7 in the Media Center. It is very beneficial for your FSA ID to be created several days before the event. See previous emails, flyers around school or reach out to Mrs. Rose in Counseling for help. Remember that this is required by the state of Indiana.

"Do you have spirit? We want to hear it! The Mount Vernon High School Cheerleading Tryouts will take place next week on Monday, March 18th and Tuesday 19th from 5pm-7pm. Tryout groups will perform on Thursday March 21st beginning at 3:15pm. Each girl and their parents must fill out a tryout permissions slip form and return it by Friday, March 15th. Picked up forms in the counseling office.

On Tuesday, March 19th, during the reading period, there will be a football call out meeting for any freshman - junior wanting to play football next year.

Calling all Sophomores. Applications for Big Brothers Big Sisters at Mount Vernon are available from Mrs. Tharp in the counseling office. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 8th.
