  • School will be in session on January 19, 2015, as a snow make-up day.

  • Schools will be closed December 22 through January 2 for winter break.  Classes resume Monday, January 5, 2015.
  • YMCA will offer before & after school child care with sites at West and Marrs Elementary Schools.  Farmersville students may attend at the West site (transportation provided).  View the brochure for times and rates or go to the YMCA website here.
  • Meal prices for the 2014-15 school year are available by clicking here.  MSD of Mt. Vernon has enrolled in an internet-based service called MySchoolBucks. This service is a website where you can pay for your child’s breakfast/lunch spending using your credit card. Participation in this service is voluntary; you may enroll at any time. District Goals

The School Board has developed goals for the next three to five years.  These goals will continue to be refined with input from community, parents, and staff.  The goals include:
  • meeting the educational needs of all students.
  • improving communications with the community.
  • providing for continuous improvement of technology.
  • providing an optimum learning environment.
  • demonstrating continuous improvement in academic achievement.

Periodically, the Board will review these goals and update them to meet the needs of the students, the school, and the community.

I-69 Celebration of Innovation


The MSD of Mt. Vernon's innovative implementation and use of Google Apps for Education will be one of the features at the upcoming Celebration of Innovation conference in Huntingburg, IN.
